Congratulations! It has been a privilege to hear your thoughts and feelings as you travel this road, and I will echo Nancy in saying I think it will certainly bless people in the queer community who are grieving the loss of a spouse - but that the wider community will be moved as well.

thank you, Amy! That is exactly my hope. Many who are not part of the queer community have already named how some of the sharing I’ve done resonates with them. It is my hope that the book does that even more.

As I continue to waddle through my own manuscript since that cohort met, I'm thrilled to read this! It turns out my book is also about grief so I'm thinking a lot about these steps that have been so popularized and I kinda hate them. I am so, so excited to read this book. Congratulations on birthing your book outlining your particular grief journey. I believe it could have a substantial positive impact for the queer community. However, it also can have a positive impact in the wider community.

Thank you, Nancy. And yes… the book is written in such a way as to acknowledge that we all benefit from queering our grief… whether we identify as queer or not.
